Duct Fans for Lightly Corrosive Environments

The RKDY series duct fans are designed for the extraction of explosive and lightly corrosive gas-laden vapors from industrial environments. They are widely used in applications such as defense industry facilities, plating plants, medical manufacturing facilities, electrical battery storage areas, and petrochemical plants. The impellers are manufactured from electrically conductive polypropylene (PP) and feature a high-efficiency backward-curved design with aerofoil 3D blade geometry. They are statically and dynamically balanced according to ISO 1940-1 G6.3, ensuring low noise operation and high performance. The casing is made of carbon steel with corrosion-resistant coating or AISI 304 / AISI 316 stainless steel, providing excellent durability in lightly aggressive environments. The standard design is suitable for air temperatures between -15°C and +60°C, with optional versions available for operation up to +100°C. The electric motor is equipped with PTO protection, positioned within the airflow, and rated IP65. For fan diameters up to 450 mm, impellers are manufactured from electrically conductive, halogen-free, and flame-retardant materials. For diameters above 450 mm, impellers are made of aluminum, stainless steel, or carbon steel with corrosion-resistant coating.
